Why Islam?

If there is a true religion from the Creator, why would it be Islam?

We’ve established the existence of a Creator. We’ve seen that religion is necessary for meaning, morality, and guidance. But with many religions making conflicting claims—why Islam?

Let’s begin with what Islam actually is.

Islam means submission to the One Creator. It means worshiping God alone, without partners, intermediaries, or images.

Islam doesn’t ask you to blindly follow a culture. It calls you to return to the original message that all prophets brought.

Distortions Over Time

Throughout history, people changed the messages of their prophets:

  • They introduced worship of saints or messengers.
  • They altered divine scriptures.
  • They created complex hierarchies, rituals, and contradictions.

Today, many religions preach part of the truth but have diluted or abandoned the essence: worship the One true God, alone.

Islam is the only religion that:

  • Preaches absolute monotheism.
  • Is built on unchanged revelation.
  • Calls to submission to God alone, not to prophets, priests, or political systems.

Islam Is Built on Evidence

It’s not just a claim. Islam backs its message with:

  • A preserved, word-for-word scripture: The Qur’an.
  • A prophet whose truthfulness and character are unmatched.
  • Rational, moral, and spiritual clarity.
  • A challenge: If you think this book is not from God—then bring a chapter like it.

“Whoever seeks a religion other than Submission: it will not be accepted from him; and in the Hereafter, he will be among the losers.”
[Surat Āl-ʿImrān: 85]

Islam Is a Way of Life

It’s not just a belief—it’s a full system: (Morality with purpose. Worship with meaning. Laws with justice. A life connected to your Creator.

Whether you’re alone or in a crowd, in a palace or a prison, Islam connects you to the One who never leaves you.

“Say, “My prayer and my worship, and my life and my death, are devoted to Allah, the Lord of the Universes.”
[Surat Al-Anʿām: 162]

But how do we know that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was truly sent by the Creator and not just claiming it?
